If you will need supplies and services, such as specialty gases or electrical work, you will need a nonproprietary user account. A purchase order from your home institution will be required to establish the user account. A DUNS number is also required. Advance payment in U.S. dollars may be required for capital equipment purchases and construction work.

   • Provide an account contact for further correspondence about the purchase order.

If you wish to make a proprietary claim on data obtained at the APS, you will need a proprietary user account. This account is used to pay for beam time, though it can be set up to cover supplies and services as well. A purchase order from your home institution and advance payment will be required to establish the user account. A DUNS number is also required. Beam time is charged in one-hour increments.
