JAMES R. NORRIS

Research interests: Prof. Norris's research focuses on natural and artificial photosynthesis. The goal of the research is a more complete understanding of the beginning of the process of natural photosynthesis such that artificial photosynthesis can be a reality. The mechanism and structural requirements of photosynthesis are explored via a series of photosynthetic reaction centers altered by site-directed mutagenesis.
